Siqura’s XCU Fusion camera has been nominated in Germany for a GIT Security Award 2019. There are competitions in five different categories of safety and security products. The Siqura camera competes in Category B: Fire and Explosion Protection, Industrial Safety.
GIT Sicherheit is the leading publication in its field in Germany and one of the leading publications on safety and security in the world. Being a finalist through a nomination in itself already is a warm recommendation in terms of the quality of a product. This fall, a professional jury will decide on the winners and runners-up in each of the five categories.
State-of-the art ruggedness
The qualities of the XCU Fusion camera are a function of its specifications. Having been specifically designed to operate in very harsh and aggressive environments, it is typically used in heavy industry, traffic, tunnels, waterways, waste treatment and in the salty marine environment. The advanced camera combines a full-HD ultra-low 10 x zoom optical imager with an uncooled thermal imager in one housing. The camera provides day and night vision plus the capability to detect hot spots and other thermal based analytics. This durable camera can be extremely useful in hot climates and in extreme cold. It can withstand corrosive atmospheres caused by exhaust gases and salt. Vibrations, fierce wind loads, high pressure waterjet cleaning and any kind of precipitation will not be problem.
